Welcome to the Friends of Polymnia
Serving Choral Arts in the community since 2014.
The mission of this organization is to provide volunteer support and foster community outreach on behalf of the Polymnia Choral Society. In order to fulfill its mission, the Friends of Polymnia provides volunteer support personnel to fulfill duties as requested by the Polymnia board and approved by the Friends of Polymnia management team.
These duties may include support for:
- Polymnia concerts including ticket takers, ushers, administration, logistics support, and set up/clean up of receptions staged after concerts
- Polymnia management administration services which may include website management, back office administration, and other such duties requested by the Polymnia board of directors and approved by the Friends management committee.
All members of the Friends of Polymnia are paid in kind with comp tickets and special access to Polymnia events. Our bylaws and charter spell out all of the details. Members of the organization are separate from the Polymnia Choral Society.
If you would like to be among the first volunteers for this new organization, please email Evans Travis as soon as possible and indicate you are interested. We will be having an organizing meeting soon! There is a maximum number of volunteers we can accomodate so don't miss out.
