He also worked 25 years in manufacturing operations management for medical device companies. Married to Carol Adiletto-Francis with one child, Steve enjoys travel and golf and likes to mix the two endeavors whenever possible.

David Hammond

David Hammond, Vice President David, bass, traces his love of music back to singing soprano in a men and boys choir early in life. As an adult, having sung in the Back Bay Chorale for ten years and Polymnia for roughly twenty, his life has been immeasurably enriched by great choral literature and superb conductors. He retired in 2019 after having worked in financial services for almost forty years. David is married to Barbara, has two children and two grandchildren.

Therese Moran, Treasurer Terry, alto, joined Polymnia in 1985 and joined the Board in 1996 as the ticket coordinator.   She became the Treasurer in 1998.  She currently works in state government.  Since college, Terry has enjoyed choral singing and loves that through Polymnia she has the opportunity to sing with such a welcoming community

Samantha Mallon, Secretary Sam, soprano, joined Polymnia in September of 2015 and joined the board in August of 2018 to get to know her fellow chorus members and help out the chorus in the best way possible. Currently, she is a graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology at Northeastern and she loves singing every Tuesday to help take her mind off school. She loves Polymnia because of the wide range of music, from intricate classical pieces to modern pop hits, and because the members are so tight-knit and friendly like a family!

Eileen Worthley, Publicity Eileen, soprano, joined Polymnia in 2013. She inherited the role of PR and Publicity because of her writing skills. She is a retired copyeditor, and although she has a degree in Music Education, she taught for only a few years before changing her career path. Eileen loves to sing. She appreciates the musical experiences Polymnia provides by the varied repertoire.

Pam Ross, Librarian Pam, soprano, joined Polymnia in September, 1994.  She became a member of the Board in 1995 when she was elected Co-President of Polymnia and remained in the position until 1997.  Pam then moved into the position of Assistant Music Librarian and then Music Librarian 10 years later.  She loves singing with the Polymnia family and she looks forward to singing with them for a long time to come.  She has been the Church Administrator at the First Baptist Church in Melrose for the last two years.

Br. Richard Cook, Concert Tickets Brother Richard, tenor, is a retired school teacher and administrator in schools and missions conducted by the Xaverian Brothers. His last United States job was as Headmaster of Malden Catholic High School. After he left this job he served in Kenya for six years. Upon retirement he began singing with Polymnia Choral Society and Blue of a Kind, a men’s a cappella group also in Melrose.

Robin Eriksen, Publicity Robin, alto, retired after 40 years as a middle school foreign language teacher; although she has not retired from life. She has a BA from Merrimack College and an MA from Fitchburg State College. In addition to having 3 adult children, two of whom are twins, she is a grandmother to Max and Ben. Robin is a member of Dignity/Boston/USA, a national gay Catholic organization, where she sings in the choir and serves on the Executive Board. While she is not new to Polymnia, she has lived in Melrose for only a year after having lived in Billerica for almost 29 years. She still works part-time there at O’Connor Hardware.

Rose Sena, Business Ads Rose, soprano, has been a member of the Polymnia Choral Society since 1970. She has served on many chair positions: three years as Co-President, Ticket Chair, and the Pops Committee. Presently, she is serving on the board as Chairperson of Advertising for our program books. She has found her years as a member enjoyable, enriching her love for music, and the joy of singing with this special group of talented singers. Rose is a resident of Melrose since 1964, raising four children who all attended Melrose schools.

Bob Eggers, Website Bob, tenor, joined Polymnia after moving to Melrose because he was looking for folks to sing with and to make new friends in the community. He joined the Board in 2015 to better serve the organization and build a coordinated 21st Century marketing approach for Polymnia. Bob sings with several other choirs, most importantly, with Blue of a Kind, and is a published arranger of a cappella music for men’s voices. What excites him about Polymnia is singing under a great director and approaching a wide variety of both fun and challenging music.

Evans Travis, Friends of Polymnia Evans is the Managing Director of Friends of Polymnia having founded the group in 2014. He has experience on several not for profit boards having held roles from community outreach to President. He works as a Senior Program Manager at SAS Institute managing global programs for the professional services division and teaching project management topics at SAS offices around the world. He is a Baritone in Blue of a Kind, a Melrose based men’s acapella group, an occasional soloist at community events, and periodically sings with Polymnia.

Joanne Colella Boag, Member at Large Joanne, soprano, joined Polymnia in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory, and is often a featured soloist with Polymnia and the Polymnia Chamber Choir. She has also been a member and soloist of the Mishawum Choral Society, the Newton Community Chorus, The New World Chorale, and has performed with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus for fourteen seasons. She is currently a soloist, and cantor at St. Mary’s Parish, Winchester, MA.

Rachel Smith, Member at Large Rachel, soprano, has been a member of Polymnia Choral Society since 2015 and was very excited to join the board in June of 2016. She has sung in choirs since high school, but believes her skillset improved ten-fold once she joined Polymnia. She credits this improvement to the expertise of the conductor, assistant conductor, and accompanist. Currently, Rachel works as an Executive Director of a non-profit. Singing has always been more of a passion and a priority than a hobby, which is why she was quick to join this wonderful group of singers once she moved to the North Shore.
